  3.  @tomspencer1364  I highly agreed Grant was made a villain by those Southern Historian who believe in the lost cause and they made Lee a hero. Over the Decades Grant achievements were overlooked and they used the accusations on him being a drunk and a butcher who merely got lucky. That wasn’t until the end of the Jim Crow and the civil rights movement in 60s that Grant was reevaluated by modern history and his Achievements were brought to light.
