  2. CptCanada, The debit ceiling and deficit reduction are two different issues. The debt ceiling would have been raised, regardless of what the Democrats or Republicans want. "IF" it wasn't raised, our government would shut down and make matters worse. Deficit reduction needs to come from a variety of policies, such as tax reform, spending reduction (smaller government ), and economic planning. President Trump has already lowered our deficit. Google it.
