  1. krys d , Mueller has the authority, by law, to look into anything he thinks deserves looking into. In the past, special councils have strayed way off of the original investigation.

  2. Nick C , The special council may investigate ANYTHING he deems worthy of investigating. He'll more than likely be investigating more than just the Trump campaign team. This may very well blow up in the Democrats face, like most of their other allegations have.
