  2. Dede Tudor , I never said there were no side effects. My statement should have been that it has been used safely for more than 20 years. Having said this, after researching the actual side effects, it seems that the more serious side effects are rare and occur in less than 1% of patients. Furthermore, there are many doctors in the United States and many more in Europe who are now saying that this drug, along with antibiotics is making a huge difference in the fight of the virus.
