  1. dcpack , This is different. We paid $100 a month for 12 months and that was it. In my time, it was for college use, after your ETS. The medical benefits were automatic and given as a benefit for serving your country. This looks like they are making medical benefits part of the GI Bill, so that those who do not participate, would not receive medical benefits after ETS.

  2. Benefits, including college tuition, should be free for our veterans!!! They are risking their very lives for our country and paying for their well being after their service is complete, is a much better use of MY tax dollars than the asswipes in congress voting themselves a pay raise!!!

  4. From the Depths of Gehenna , She likes (is subscribed to) survival Lilly, so she can't be that bad. Maybe she's just uninformed. Maybe she doesn't realize that our senators and congressmen get healthcare and benefits, after their service has ended. Personally I would rather see military personnel taken care of for life, rather than politicians.
