Ive always said anyone who claims to love unconditionally is either lying or has no standards and neither premises are good. This doesn't just include romantic relationships, this includes family, friends etc. Standards have to come before anything else. Show me a parent who loves their kid no matter how evil they are and you'll see a parent with no standards which probably contributed to the child's behavior. Theres no honor in unconditional love nor should there be. Gloating over a lack of standards is nothing to be proud of.

@josevelasco1388 well yes, that's a matter of forgiving people for their faults and this can be done, but preferably at a distance. I can forgive someone without keeping them in my life simply because personality rarely changes no matter how hard the person wants to.
