  1. Many women on apps are not actually wanting to date except for the occasional food call if bored. Technology has made it to where she doesn't have to show up in person to get what she craves which is attention. She can be a 4 wearing sweatpants, hair in curlers, eating ice cream, post some filtered pics and she'll get men of all calibers sending heart eyes and flame emojis. Does this make her less lonely? No, does this give her a relationship? No but it does give her the sense she's all that. The ego confidence boost. A woman that's C grade can get a 10 man to sleep with her, he may not want a relationship but while shes sleeping with him she feels beautiful. She'll carry this attitude and false sense of confidence with her because even though realistically she'd be a better fit for an average man, because she got James bond to sleep with her on a slow night she will wrongly conflate that as her long term value. She only screens guys she's not interested in or she feels she's settling for. Rest assured she's not screening Elvis circa 1968 when he wants to meet up. She's not asking about his 401k or opinions on blended families, and 5 year plans, she's just shaving her legs, getting waxed and hoping he's pleased with her.
