Excellent video and logical points. It all boils down to standards and self respect. There's a saying " apologize when you're wrong, not when you tell the truth." I've lost friends because I wasn't always tactful, and had no problem apologizing when my behavior conflicted with my own standards. However, there are people who gaslight and when called on their behavior, or given a proper tongue lashing will play victim, say you hurt them, demand an apology, etc. Those don't get an apology. Why? Because respecting myself and telling the truth doesn't conflict with my morals or standards.

@psychacks Thank you for the response, and further insights into these issues. I agree with your points. I guess sometimes their reaction is to maintain a certain perception or self image. If they have a certain insecurity, they will look for signs to justify it. If, they were always told or made to feel they were dumb growing up, any disagreement will reinforce that perception and they will become defensive " are you saying I'm an idiot?" People see and hear what reinforces their beliefs. I agree, Ive learned its best to walk away from those types of people. Until they gain a better self awareness, its best to leave them be, and certainly not apologize because that as you pointed out would validate their feelings/self justification. Your videos are great, I'm subscribing. They're condensed and to the point and explain very well the logic behind behavior even illogical behavior.
