So I very much doubt there are any still alive who fought in our last war. Since ww2 people have "voluntarily" joined up, (not been forced to like my dad was)! All they've done since then is invade other countries illegally. Plus they are well paid in the forces, and learn a trade. Many drink their wages away at weekend, so there is absolutely no reason for modern day ex service men and women to end up on streets. Unless they've wasted their pay or took to drink and drugs. Members of my family were in the army in the 80s and 2000s, and when they left they got themselves good professions, and bought a house! And now have wives and children. So I'm sick of hearing about vets being on the streets ๐Ÿ™„ If they are then they have only themselves to blame. No one forced them to join up.
