@anssim928 Well the crow constantly going on the front of the hedgehog after poking it from the back, even when the hedgehog decides to move, indicates the situation is different from what is perceived here. My intuition tells me the crow was poking the hedgehog from behind so that hedgehog can show its head to poke its eyes. Thats why the hedgehog keeps hiding its head and stops moving. Is my intuition wrong?

Nope, the Cheetah is still the fastest animal in the wild as compared to a Gazelle. But just like rabbits, Gazelles out-run Cheetahs by cutting sharp corners continuously until the Cheetah gives up (you saw it here 2:19 and here 2:21and finally here 2:25 when Cheetah slid in the video). Just like a Lamborghini or a Ferrari has to reduce its speed to cut sharp corners, Cheetahs also reduce speed to cut corners giving gazelles a competitive edge in the wild. If the Gazelles ran at a straight line for a long time, it would take less than a minute for the Cheetah to catch the gazelle. Thats why Gazelle hop like this 2:31 when the Cheetah gives up.

OMG Americans freaked over Ebola virus, i thought it was going to wipe out the entire African population in a matter of days, despite no American getting infected. Now i look at Coronavirus taking out 40,000 people in 41 days and Trump casually mentions it, despite 50 Americans getting infected in less than a month after the outbreak.

@WingedEternitys Cheetahs are only the fastest if they run on a straight line for long. Thats why their prey always start by cutting sharp corners instead of running in a straight line. Just look at when the gazelle starts to run, it starts by cutting a sharp corner to slow the cheetah down, which always works.
