This guy never fails to remind me that several years ago I opined the GOP'd never again be able to find and promote someone even dumber than Palin. I was wrong - obviously.
1100
btw, worth mentioning: Birx quietly retired yesterday. Atlas is gone. Rats are deserting the Trumptanic.
36
19 more days ... Garland HAD four years. Realistically, it's simply too late to accomplish anything now.
34
He, and his overinflated ego, are a defense attorney's worst nightmare. Of COURSE his attorneys are right!
22
That's become typical of GOP-ers who attempt to defend the actions of Fearless Orange.
21
@tanazinn8484 He's getting LOTS of help from GOP Members of Congress, lest we forget.
20
Right out of the Trump playbook. Asked a question he doesn't want to answer, simply spew words, no matter how nonsensical
12
OR ... he's having trouble remembering his lies.
6
Don't forget all Jack Smith's efforts are wasted if no one can get Garland to pursue charges - and, so far, there's no indication he ever will.
5
@joesanchez9128 He also refused to pursue Contempt of Congress charges against Meadows and Scavino. I've NO idea why the President hasn't fired him!
4
Tariffs stop wars. That's a new one. Incoherent jabbering orangutan. Well done, American voters.
3
@ridge7524 AND she's still out there, maverickin' around!
3
Never forget Madge followed David Hogg around screaming he was a Soros plant and the Parkland massacre was a setup.
3
Pelosi grinning through Blitzer's eviction commentary was, frankly, disturbing. Our last hope is the Democratic leadership ESPECIALLY in the Blue-controlled House! Is the Speaker as out of touch as the Senate Republicans now?
2
Too bad neither of them can effect any changes or influence anyone in a position to act, huh?
2
He said the same thing about the Mueller Report. Doesn't make any difference. Doesn't appear any City, State, or Federal entity is interested in doing anything other than griping about it. No one's indicting or charging the Orange Menace with anything
2
Whatever happened to Carroll's DNA evidence? Couldn't the prosecution insist he give a sample? Both sides have rested, though. Oh well...
2
So, tell us again about how Trump's lost his grip on the Republican Party ...
2
"Silver lining..." Pardon my raucous laughter. Allowing Merrick Garland to ignore things like the Raffensberger call, emoluments, missing classified documents, and likely violations of the Logan Act...there's NO silver lining! If Trump was smart, he'd retain Merrick Garland as AG! Garland's proven he hasn't the spine to prosecute! Further, Biden's allowing him to hire Jack Smith as "Assistant Hand-Sitter" was equally indefensible.
2
"...pretty big deal" that SHOULD be pursued at the FEDERAL LEVEL by DOJ and the hapless, spineless AG!
1
Oh, hahaha! Jack Smith works for ... who? Oh yeah! Merrick Garland - who will be AG for all of 19 more days. Get serious. The Federal prosecution of Trump remains stillborn, as it has for the past four years. No reviving this corpse! As always, now watch absolutely NOTHING happen.
1
Perhaps Trump should retain Merrick Garland as he did such a fine job ignoring everything he could've prosecuted Trump for. That's true loyalty! Jack Smith? Hired as Assistant Hand Sitter when someone said something to Garland after he'd successfully done nothing about the Raffensberger call, emoluments, missing documents, and, ultimately, violation(s) of the Logan Act. Despicable. Democrats can only be trusted to make valid accusations, but there're never consequences. President Biden NOT terminating Garland cost us dearly!

A preview of another Trump Presidency
1
But ... Obama wore a TAN SUIT! That's a violation of the Constitution! It IS! It's on the secret fifth page of the Constitution under the heading of "Some guy on Facebook said..."
1
Jonathan Swan takes no prisoners! We need more members of the Press like him and FAR fewer of the more typical bunch who never push back when pols insist, for example, "I know it, you know it, EVERYBODY knows it!"
1
wow ... how exciting. SO, one judge tells him to shut up or suffer the consequences, he doesn't shut up, Jack Smith complains, the actual trial judge ... issues a warning and demands an explanation ... tomorrow ... by 17:00 that'll show 'im. Repeat after me, kiddies "The Fix Is In"
1
This COULD go on forever, so possibly. Works in Trump's favor too - and that just might be the REAL point of all this "gathering evidence in perpetuity" nonsense. I really have to wonder why no one's put a boot in Garland's a*s - and don't tell me they need MORE evidence!
1
Just like Birx, trying VERY hard to rewrite history to make their complicity in the schizo-disaster that was Trump appear more palatable. Ms. Wallace isn't only beautiful, she's smart and...she's not putting up with this nonsense any longer! And Christie? Wants to sell a book to keep him in "all-you-can-eat buffet money!"
1
He's a dream contemporary Republican candidate! Dumb enough to be manipulatable, repeats conspiracy theories and is so gullible, can be fed new ones, lies effusively and doesn't regret when caught...
1
WHEN are they going to stop gathering evidence (that's no longer needed!) and arrest this carrot-coloured a*shole?
1
I'm also surprised that Lewandowski agreed to appear on CNN!
1
Sorry, but...after 5+ years of Naranja Loco doing as he pleases, I've little confidence anything will change now. "They" (DOJ/Garland) had two "gimme" felonies dating back to January, 2021 (removing documents from the Archive NO MATTER WHAT!, is a felony! Second, the Raffensberger call.) They/he refused to prosecute - and also refused to pursue the Contempt case against Meadows. Reds take control of the House in January. Expect this Committee's accumulated evidentiary documents to be used as bonfire fuel. Also too late to replace a spineless AG.
1
So, in other words, more lip service, but zero consequences. The orange syphiitic leads a charmed life - and all but ~15% of us are really tired of this!
1
After nearly four years of watching Democrats fumble every possible ball and continuing to support one of the most ineffective DOJ/AGs' in history, how much faith do I have in their getting the Gaetz situation into the public view? None. Absolutely none.
1
Well, Republicans are making progress. Wasn't that long ago they felt individual healthcare decisions should be made by ones health insurer or the size of ones bank account. And, of course, they favor returning to that system. But, for now, Cancun Cruz'll try to act like he's concerned.
1
AND the policy of "gather evidence in perpetuity, then do nothing with it" continues unabated. If there's a failing of the Biden Admin, it's the continued support of "Mort Meek" Garland, who did nothing for 2½ years, then ... appointed someone else to do his job for him.
1
Dammit! Here's what you're missing! As you know (in Rudy we trust!) dead people vote en masse! SO, why can't dead Chavez control the voting machines? Huh? Huh? HUH? Riddle me that, BriMan!
1
So, in other words, just another delay that works in Trump's favor. At this pace, they'll have to exhume his body from its Mar-A-Lago crypt to try him.
1
Yet another Trump super-spreader event. Hospitals are full, yet these morons still won't wear masks, stay apart.
1
He forgot to mention everyone's financed by George Soros...
1
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOSFERATU!
1
Sorry, but ... so f'in what? His relatives don't like him. Meanwhile his ignorance and selfishness are turning this nation into a 3rd-world dictatorship with the blessings of the Senate. But...his relatives don't like him. BFD. Just another thing to be completely forgotten by next Tuesday.
1
If Merrick Garland isn't using the AG office, think we could install someone who will? I just don't see any effort being made by Garland to address ANY of the democracy-threatening initiatives that the U.S. faces today. Now, if he sits on the Bannon situation until the Dems lose the Senate, via Manchin going indy or other, ... come on, Mr President! Get a REAL AG!
1
Just curious. Surely I'm not the only one who's sick and tired of hearing "This is curtains for Trump!" and/or "Trump just admitted his own guilt!," then watching absolutely NOTHING happen in terms of prosecution, consequences! After two years of this, haven't even the pundits realized this? Nothing's going to happen here because we have an AG that simply will not pursue anything or anyone farther up the Trump Food Chain than the out-of-favor Bannon and both the Georgia and "revived Manhattan" investigations, likewise, appear to be nothing other than Press wishful thinking. Meanwhile, the country burns.
1
Oxymoron: "Democrats outmaneuver"
1
@barbaraann6229 More and more, it appears it's just another delaying tactic that works in Trump's favor. As long as we continue gathering evidence, convening Grand Juries, interviewing witnesses, NOTHING is being done about that carrot-colored cretin!
1
SO, it's been about two years since Clarence Thomas got caught accepting gifts and was forced to restate his financials. Two years. And he's still a Justice. Here's the reality: aggressively prosecuting a criminal ex-President and/or criminal Supreme Court Justices is something Merrick Garland will never do - and the criminals know it! Things get worse, the grift becomes more blatant, and the DOJ can be counted on to continue spinning its wheels. One of the first things Kamala should do after taking Office is REPLACE MERRICK GARLAND!
1
Too bad Jack Smith can't call his own shits, huh? Remember who he works for. Yep! The guy who refused to pursue Contempt of Congress charges against Meadows and Scavino. Not exactly confidence-inspiring.
1
@rw9573 I suspect "Jack" is fine and this is just more Merrick Garland dragging his heels. Garland needs to be replaced.
1
Nice work by Rep. Raskin, but...still find it galling that 6 months after the paedophile accusations Gaetz remains free and confident. That's truly a failing and, as evidenced by the past nearly five years, a sad indication of Trump's enduring power. More and more I believe the rumours that Trump's info gathering over the years has resulted in his "having something on everyone," so he and his minions continue their criminal activity with no fear of consequences. We're on our way to "third-world dictatorship" status.
