The LIE:
During the Cold War the Soviet Union, its Warsaw Pact Allies and the Western far-left spread a variety of LIES about the history of the NSDAP, the most famous of these falsehoods being the assertion that Hitler and his regime were supporters of Zionism. It was a falsehood that fit well with another big lie of Communist Cold War propaganda (the H LIE). The fact is, Hitler and the NSDAP despised Zionism and did all they could to defeat it. Repeating this myth of NSDAP support for Zionism, over & over became mantra, a required and standard slogan of Communist regimes and their Western far-left parties, during the Cold War. With Israels wholesale destruction of Gaza, those same actors have found use for the LIE once again!
First, Hitler despised Zionism. In fact he ridiculed the idea as he was convinced that the Jews would be incapable of establishing and then defending a state. More importantly, he and his government viewed the prospect of a Jewish state in Palestine as part of the broader international Jewish conspiracy which his "fevered imagination" LOL, presented a dire threat to Germany. The "eViL Nazis" encouraged German Jews to leave the country in the 1930s, even as late as 1941 when the door was closed, in order to travel to Palestine. That policy was primarily driven by a desire to get the Jews OUT of Germany rather than to build a Jewish state in Palestine. By the late 1930s the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, who later collaborated with the NSDAP in wartime Berlin, had informed German diplomats stationed in Jerusalem that the entry of Jews into Palestine from Germany was angering local Arabs., & so the NSDAP cut off Jewish emigration in 1941.
History of World War II in North Africa: In November 1941, Hitler promised the Mufti, then in Berlin, that if and when the German armies were successful in the Caucuses, they would drive south to assist destroying the Zionist Settlers attempting to establish a permanent colony, who were then living in areas controlled by Britain in North Africa and the Middle East. In the summer and autumn of 1942, German General Erwin Rommel who had been tasked with extracting this element, deployed his Afrikakorps east from Tunisia to be met by forces from Australia, New Zealand and Britain at the Battle of El Alamein in Egypt. NSDAP propaganda aimed both at German audiences and at Arabs in North Africa and the Middle East constantly denounced Britain, the Jews and Zionism. NSDAP propagandists claimed that a Jewish state in Palestine would be a “Vatican for the Jews” that is a power centre of an international Jewish conspiracy and thus a threat to Germany (history has proved, the threat was to the WORLD). They argued that an Allied victory would be a victory for the Jews. They repeated that a Jewish state in Palestine would be a threat to the religion of Islam in the entire Arab Middle East (historically vindicated). Zionism was described as a form of “Jewish imperialism” that was linked to British and to its root of “Jewish Bolshevism” in Moscow.

NSDAP leadership, even Wehrmacht Generals, well understood the inherent subversive threat posed by ✡️christianity to the ideals of a German(European) Virtue. If you insist on a label, Mustache Man was closer to being nietzschean. In their writings & correspondences with each other, they expressed what they could not publicly. They knew it would be impossible to reverse 2000 years of ✡️christian theological conquest & indoctrination overnight, pragmatically they decided to modify ✡️christianity to better suit the Reich, at least until it could be replaced entirely by a Pantheon of German Gods. So called German "Positive christianity" was intended as this stop gap.

German "Positive christianity" sought to strip out the core of ✡️christianity while retaining its veneer, subtly replacing the core with NSDAP ideology. They de-emphasized the jewishess of Rabbi Jesus, reimagining him as a Aryan Fighter pitted against the corrupt pharisees.
There's absolutely no way, Germans would've supported an open Non-christian in the 1930s. Hitler publicly self-identified with ✡️christianity, being the skillful politician that he was. Yet Hitler frequently derided and bashed christianity among his trusted associates. He viewed it as a "meek" and "flabby" religion that encouraged people to be too soft and blamed it for many of Germany's problems. He also hated the fact that he had to compete with christianity for influence over the German people. He wanted his People to pledge complete allegiance to Blood & Soil, correctly viewing ✡️christianity a threat to this aim.

Goebbels wrote on 29 April 1941 that though Hitler was "a fierce opponent" of the Vatican and Christianity, "he forbids me to leave the church. For tactical reasons."

Speer noted in his memoirs that Bormann relished recording any harsh pronouncements made by Hitler against the church: "there was hardly anything he wrote down more eagerly than deprecating comments on the church". Within the transcripts, Hitler speaks of Christianity as "absurdity" and "humbug" founded on "lies" with which he could "never come personally to terms."
Hitler says: "Science cannot lie, for it's always striving, according to the momentary state of knowledge, to deduce what is true. When it makes a mistake, it does so in good faith. It's Christianity that's the liar. It's in perpetual conflict with itself." Religion will crumble before scientific advances, says Hitler: "The dogma of Christianity gets worn away before the advances of science. Religion will have to make more and more concessions. Gradually the myths crumble. All that's left is to prove that in nature there is no frontier between the organic and the inorganic. When understanding of the universe has become widespread, when the majority of men know that the stars are not sources of light but worlds, perhaps inhabited worlds like ours, then the Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity."

The historical record shows, Mustache Man had zero reservations sending subversive ✡️christian clergy to camps along with co-abrahamic Bolsheviks. Hitler installs Ludwig Müller as Reich Bishop, who controlled the conglomerate of Germany's 28 regional Protestant churches, Catholics were prohibited from being included. In the Long Knives, several Catholic leaders were targeted. 1937, the NSDAP removes crucifixes from schools and bans daily religious periodicals. The NSDAP continues to dominate the Protestant churches and has the mass arrests of opposing pastors. After Pius XI issues Mit brennender Sorge, or With Burning Concern, where he denounces NSDAP ideology and criticizes it for contradicting Catholic dogma. In response, the Gestapo confiscated any copies found, arrested those who supported the printing or publication of the paper, & shut down their businesses... known as Kirchenkampf.
