  2. The craziest thing here i can't and never will get used to is the closure of everything for investigation for hours and hours, if not forever. They close entire subway when on a station someone jumps on rails (the freak has already gone from King, but entire city is waiting for shuttle busses), they close the entire recreation swimming pool if someone poops or slips, they hire a security AFTER a bank branch robbery attempt, they close the entire road if there was shooting on a bus stop...

  5. I was in the crowd in the footage by the closed Union Station doors. Yes, we stood shoulder to shoulder or breast to back. But everything was nice and friendly in the crowd. Not sure why the doors on the left were closed (and nobody freaked out at that). I just moved away from the doors through the crowd to the overhead pass and went to the right side of the doors. Then everything was smooth. Never been in such a friendly crowd and never expected to be there. I moved to the platform with the crowd and then to the train. They even offered me a seat. 😊 There was such a warm and festive atmosphere on the train. I returned home in North York safe and happy before 2 am. Maybe one of you has seen me. I was the only one in the crowd in a Santa cone hat and an antivirus mask. ❤ I've been to quite a big number of fireworks in Toronto around the world and all I can say: the City made a wrong decision about the place this year. Last year fireworks were in multiple places and people could make a better choce. Waterfront promenade is too small for the GTA population.

  8. I submitted a complaint to the Parks, Forestry and Recreation department about some misconduct, cutting trees in a careless manner. In short. I received a formal response from a supervisor, but the misconduct continues. I am talking about G Ross Lord Park, a park which is in the worst condition of all the parks I've ever visited. Especially it's part close to Antibes Dr. and Torresdale Ave. 😮

  14. I occasionally met a City worker yesterday on a City vehicle on park patrol. Never seen anyone like that before my complaint to the city. The worker didn't want to spend a spare minute listening to me and was in a rush. Who they work for?

That should be enough. There is no proven need or justification for granting bikes special treatment or infrastructure beyond what is already provided to all traffic participants. The current push for protected bike lanes on specific roads — and especially claims that they are constitutionally required — goes beyond equal treatment. I do not agree that these lanes warrant special legal status or privileges, nor that their removal violates Charter rights. Cyclists are normal traffic participants and should follow the same rules and share the road like everyone else.
