@number7__879 Navalny was a Russian nationalist, xenophobe, anti-immigrant. He wanted to ban all minority languages in Russia, and force everyone to speak only Russian. Wipe out anyone who refused (gеnосide anyone?) Same thing with religion. He wanted to ban all religions except Orthodox Christianity. Amnesty International did not consider him to be a political prisoner because he was an extremist. If Navalny did in the US what he did in Russia, he'd have been called a terrorist and get tortured in Guantanamo Bay. So why is the West such huge fans of somebody like that? It's easy. Imagine him becoming a president and tell 190 different indigenous nationalities living in Russia that their language/culture/religion is banned. That's would guarantee that all the ethnic regions would declare independence and a massive civil war break out., possibly breaking Russia up. Something the west drools about.

I haven't followed him closely, but I remember him also saying he didn't trust the Russian COVID vaccine, so he went with "proven safe and effective" Pfizer... Which we now know how safe and effective it is...
