@relentlessprofanity no you do not. Add your state, sales taxes (including on vehicles), registration costs, property taxes, gasoline taxes. And don't forget everytime you walk into a store a (pre-tax) price also has cost of business taxes built into it. Anyone living in California and making over $100k absolutely positively pays more than 50% in direct and indirect taxes and medical cost.
