@nicoleschultz7782 if you weren't an empty headed bobblehead, you'd know that yaroshenko was convicted for CONSPIRACY. Translation, the US government has zero evidence to convict this guy for an actual crime, so they just convicted him on POTENTIAL INTENT as they perceived it. Imagine this - you and your broke friend are watching Narcos, and your friend says - we should do this. All we need is to sneak 100 kilos of blow and we can retire. You laugh and go - maybe we should. A third friend is a druggie that's looking to to lessen his upcoming punishment by cooperating. If the feds dislike you for whatever reason, they can technically convict you for conspiracy. That's what the American government did to foreign nationals ALL THE TIME.

It's also naive to think that Gershkovich and Wheelan weren't CIA agents. And all others under influence is the CIA.
