  5. ​ @BBStyles777 America's incarceration rate is roughly equal to the average incarceration rate in the Soviet Union, and more than double that of Russia. That should give you some perspective how free you really are. I'm a Russian, born in the SU, raised in the US, and now live in Russia again. I left the US and renounced my citizenship because I couldn't handle, stupidity, arrongamce and hypocrisy of the average American. To give you an example of American freedumbs - I renounced my American citizenship 9 years ago, the IRS still tries to get me to file tax returns annually and pay taxes on my worldwide income!!! No other country would even think of such stupidity. Naturally this is what I file 🖕 Another fun fact is many financial institutions in Russia (and many other countries) will show you the door if they find it you are American citizen or resident. They simply don't want to deal with the tyrannical American government when it comes to absurd reporting requirements.
