Totally wing idea. Experience is subjective. To me iPhone is an counterintuitive piece of junk that a 5 years behind android on tech. Yet millions of idiots are convinced it's the best thing ever, and Android is "too hard"..

@fakech it will be though. For example - you have to sacrifice navigation that takes traffic into consideration if you don't want to send your originations and destination points to servers. You can forget instant messages, if you don't want the messenger to have regular contact with a server. So privacy and convenience are inversely related. So usability is subjective - someone in the cartel has different needs than those of us who just like it privacy. Also - seeking privacy in itself is viewed as suspicious by the gov. So, ironically, blending in and not doing anything is actually a form of privacy too.

@kevinm45684 the closest you can get to privacy, would be standalone hotspot with + small tablet with custom rom + own vps to be used as VPN. All the hotspot sees it's connection to VPN. The tablet will know your location but not your identity since it's not linked to any phone number. You could get Google voice number for voice calls and texts. But an interested actor world still be able to figure out the identity of needed.
