@FirstNameLastName-ib3cp wrong. First a general well have better cituational awareness. Second for moral support of the troops. Third - the generals are less likely to be reckless when it's their own ass that's on the line. Perfect example is Bakhmut and how recklessly ukrane was throwing soldiers in there. I bet you if Zelenskyy or his generals had to be presented, they'd have abandoned the idea of trying to hold on to turn they knew they wouldn't be able to hold.
