People need touch. Why can you get a hug from your sister but not your spouse? I don’t want to be treated as a covid carrier for half the month. No sex fine for a few weeks, no touch I have a big problem with it. No passing the potatoes I have a problem with. The excessive process of checking to make certain it’s over. It almost suggests people have no self regulation or can’t master delayed gratification.

@mlh5434 they were under occupation, dispossessed and starved in Ireland. Why can’t the community get jobs? Why is the world trying to get rid of the jobs there? A few proper roads for infrastructure and it will be fine. Why coal industry down? Did you notice your heat and electric bill over the last few years?

@boredomreliever3850 what incentive is there for him to do that? The Torah says don’t have relations during that time, fine. If the man or woman doesn’t have self control by all means be cautious. But something is wrong when simple human touch is a problem.

It was kind of them to host you and allow filming. Surely some of them were a little worried they would make a mistake from what the rabbi said to do. Since it was unusual to have someone there with a camera. Yes they were brave.

The thing is no one asked the women. I think the Rabbi is onto a few things with the lights part.The Rabbi has many interesting videos on YouTube. I’ve learned a lot. I don’t get the 7 clean days. If I were an observant Jewish person I’d be infertile just following this calendar cause I would not be allowed to do anything until after ovulation. I might even be divorced so my spouse could remarry in order to have kids. It’s too many days. It’s the looking for the cycle to start and not doing anything then, it’s having to start counting again cause the cycle was a little longer. Why more clean days need to pass than menstruating days for my husband to pass me the salt? After menopause there is no restriction. But the getting to menopause could mean a super long cycle or frequent ones and you are basically Typhoid Mary for a couple years.

@boredomreliever3850 yet some people do go too far anyway even with keeping the distance rules with their spouses. The Torah doesn’t say you can’t pass your wife the peas 3 days after her period is over. It talks about bedding and relations.

@michellelansky4490 maybe it’s just me but I never had relations a split second after passing the peas directly. It’s just a silly precaution. So after 9/11 when they both got home they could not hug if it was during half the month where they don’t hug? It sounds like people are trying to make a tradition great that isn’t that great. It get not having relations during, I get the Mikva, I get not sharing the bed during the cycle and a few days after just for fun. I don’t get the methods of checking and the restriction from nonsexual touching. Mid cycle bleeding and the odd bleeding around menopause or bleeding in pregnancy can really mess things up. How can people be together when they are not allowed to be together? We are in bodies at the moment. What are they for?

@mlh5434 what aren’t they teaching in schools? You arbitrarily destroy a company or industry in a one ‘main’ company town and then you blame formerly employed people lazy for not moving? Move with what money? Why should they move? Why should an area on purpose be ghosted? It is wrong. They country exist beyond 30 miles from the coast. Horse and buggy didn’t use coal. Carbon is what heats the house and since nuclear a zero carbon energy source is also dismissed as evil a fair amount of electricity. And those bills for people doubled. What do you think powers electric vehicles? Electricity from carbon sources. Why are you on the disabled? A disabled person isn’t lazy living it up on disability benefits. They can not work. Unemployment doesn’t last forever. Why are there so many drugs, most are from outside the country? The federal government has failed. The area hardly ever gets federal money for infrastructure projects.

@louisaneilson2256 I mean violating all the safety measures with the construction 🚧. This would be my worry visiting a country like Saudi Arabia. Violating a rule with possibly a stricter penalty. Or violating a rule I didn’t know existed. As a woman there are other special considerations. I hope all the changing sticks and it’s not like Iran. Only a handful of times in the US did I see in public a woman take on all the covering. But here you can wear as little or much as you want in most places. It’s a free choice. When it’s required by law it’s hard to respect it. I loved seeing women with a mix of decisions on clothing on these videos.
