  1. Life is funny. Her husband said no to kids so his wife would give him her undivided attention. Very selfishly wanted to be the object of so much adoration. Now he sees another person getting an unhealthy dose of undivided attention and realizes what harm he caused her. I think they should try for a child or adopt. But they really need to learn boundaries. The world doesn't revolve around the husband. It is wrong for a person to be so obsessed with another person.

I think it's good they mixed up the ages range a bit, more like a family getting to bottom of a problem and fixing it. I think this shows the public what they are doing to make others miserable so they can change their behavior. Also like the episode with the girl with hair loss. The show gave the family courage and encouraged others to approach the family and show kindness when they probably didn't know what to do before the show. Gosh she really isn't an orphan. Her parents aren't dead. She is an adult.

They both feel they have bought the right to the woman they want. I feel most sorry for the team leader, youngest sister of the snob family. She is useful at work and goes out of her way to interact with her entire family. And she is a hoot yelling at the guy on the phone for drinking, rushing to judgement and then giving the person an earfill. I also liked how she stood up again to that announcer. Piggy's daddy and the chicken lady are a sweet couple. I really like how in this drama the people doing the less prestigious jobs are the most happy with their life.

It’s not the US where you just end up owing a lot of money and are financially ruined. Obviously they need to be on board with how money is handled. The doctor couple just didn't grieve properly after the miscarriage and I hope in the end before 98ep they are back together. I love how both parents are raising the girls so well to include the ILs. This is not often seen in Korean series. They are all so kind to the youngest grandchild, so heartwarming.

Why are there no consequences for his violence toward the woman? I also was glad to see the little girl outside but the baby was likely in the bedroom while all that was going on. Did no neighbor hear all that, could the wife and baby sleep through all that? They lived in a perfectly fine apartment. They didn't appear poor at all. It really could have been a nice drama to show the aftermath of an abortion and that stuff didn't matter, that family mattered more. The divorced woman also was attacked. Is this how women are treated there? Do two men in six turn into predators when drunk? I don think so.

  56. I like the new young man. I think he shows a great deal of empathy and he is very likable. It seems more like a family unit now getting the information from the guests to solve the issues. The young man is right shows like this show that people are hurting where most people wouldn't realize they are being hurtful. The woman with the divorced parents and the girl with trouble growing hair are two examples. The public sees such people and change their behavior.

I think a lot of the situation in the news about the daughter of Choi and what happened in her high school. The teachers were unable to stop the corruption and suffered, now the ones who were powerless and bullied into the passing the girl are in trouble. Such cruel priviledged people. Such misguided blame. What is the average person to do when bullied by a powerful person close to the president?

She yelled at him for throwing up for his interview and called him twice to whine about drinking soju. That was their relationship at that point. It's all to reveal important information. There is no scar. Now does everyone else find out? He doesn't tell her that Gypo was released, or sent the warning box or photos. He is scared of her leaving the tailor shop but has no guard for her on the wedding day. Little brother didn't get told she was in danger. He also put his niece in danger. Leather jacket was right. If he had known he would have been stuck to her side like glue. If it were a ruining of the wedding police would have been involved. Then he waits hours to go after her. The writers were goofy. One character said her phone was turned off, then we see the groom tracking her whereabouts on GPS. How when it's turned off? Honestly it seems that not only does Yeonsil get pressure from Gypo and mother and thugs, she also gets pressure for the tailor and parents all through this courtship. It's simply a matter of who is less creepy. I like the supporting couples. Samdo and wife, achoo girl and boy friend. Boy friend and mother should have won a special couple award as well. She did get the first love letter after all. Those two have chemistry in an unexpected relationship to have chemistry. And not in a creepy way. They are way fun to watch.

I think they should do volunteer work together as a couple. He needs to be selfless and she needs to let her nephews parents raise him with a healthy weekly visit. It was strange she even had the van. He woke her at 5 asking for the soup from the specific restaurant on the coastline of the East Sea. Did she go to work to check the van out?

One or more of the sons would likely live there and start a family there. It's a relatively new notion for family to go off living in their own places. The oldest lives in a separate place with his wife and kids. I do not see the family as being set on their children but allowing them choices. The kids all seem to be glad to be born. This couple may be in better financial shape than the Korean families who just have one child, spend years on hagwons and tuition and then hundreds of thousands to marry off and get the groom that first home only to find themselves retired early and penniless. Whether one child or 13 everything earned goes to the kids. Only with one child the court may decide the child give a hundred or so to their elderly parents. Who could live on that? In this case there are several children to help with their parents golden years. If the younger kids become the elder kids burden then they will be looking to younger siblings in the golden years as well as their kids. If everyone goes to academies what is the point of anyone going? There will still be on a small percentage of the population getting the office jobs at the few conglomerates. And all those other families spent all that money for nothing. With people getting married later and having children later he isn't that much older than other parents of only children.

There was a building show about renovating abandoned properties in Seoul and I think that is the best option. I do wish since they build lovely modern apartments in Seoul and have for a good 20 years it would be a given all the apartments of that age had proper soundproofing. Even the vacuum cleaner produces too many decibels. Could you imagine being a young mother and constantly getting such complaints. No wonder so many are done after one child. Grandparents are often parenting kids. They are not trying to get a post menopausal woman pregnant. Just a woman who is still ovulating pregnant. They did not have the medical assistance when they are younger to try for a baby then. Now the government wants people to have babies, even later in life so it's available to everyone. The average marriage age for women and men are over 30. The orphanages are full of kids who were from unmarried moms or divorced families. They are not kids without a living relative because their mom and dad was 40/50 when they had them.

I also watch on Viki app. I like this more than laurel tree tailors, my family feels to opposite. But both series are so good. The family interactions are more relaxed in this series. But on occasion the price hike on the Jeonse is more than can be possibly saved and many are actually paying the bank for the Jeonse lump sun loan anyway. In theory the price of the unit increases so even if the landlord doesn’t make much on the investment their asset jumped in price and can ask for more jeonse when the contract is up or have another renter give a larger deposit. Another system is a large deposit like 30K and monthly rent. Many landlords are going for this system cause they have the guaranteed 800 or whatever a month instead of trying to get 800 a month out of a 300K short term investment. In the 80’s when savings bank interest was 10% or more it made sense. Now builders are sitting on empty units and people either own or rent from a landlord who happens to own many properties including the one they live in themselves. Is this some political retaliation for the washing machines? Is this some government ploy to make sure lovers of Kdrama will watch the Olympics instead of their favorite dramas? The truth is especially in a country like Korea few women have that many kids. They are busy with college, married late cause their future spouse had military as well as college and working to save hundreds of thousands of dollars. Given gestation, breast feeding which causes natural spacing for most, reduced fertility for most women in their late twenties and early thirties and gestation time and miscarriage rates it’s a tiny percentage that have more than 3 pregnancies. Even for those still fertile doctors don’t like deliveries past 35. Interesting cause most Down syndrome babies are born to women younger women, 85%. But so few older women even have babies naturally those that do have a higher risk. Everything is risky. But it’s a low risk. In the west lots of women have vaginal births after csections. They also go home in hours after vaginal delivery. Some of these notions are cultural.

  846.  @jeeeywu4585  seems classic parental alienation to me. You have not met enough variety of people in your life. He is pretty so you think his character is good. It might be. It might not be. The daughters will do whatever they can to please him whether he is good or not. You have an instant positive opinion about the dad. I do not. What I do know is Korea is awful about joint custody but Canada isn’t and with such familiarity with the west and mom being gone I wonder why. She since was not on the program, contacted or able to speak for herself I can only judge the dad. You judge the mom cause there is no statement from her. A single parent traveling with kids abroad it would be negligent not to question and check twice why. Canada was not being bad to single fathers. I’m American so how you all feel about Canada does not really matter to me. With the oldest girls age the parents don’t even have to communicate with each other and the kids could spend some time with each parents through the daughter’s phone to arrange it. Dads should be on the school texts anyway even in intact marriages.

  847.  @jeeeywu4585  yes I do get an impression of people easily. Just like you got an impression of the person not present easily. You assume the girl would rebel. You never met a narcissist have you? There would be red flags if dad no where to be seen and one of the sets of grandparents in North America. Not just mom. You make a child even unmarried and you are stuck for life put your big boy or big girl pants on and facilitate an exchange from time to time. There are mediators to assist in the schedule and suggesting the method of doing that. Are there women’s and children shelters in Korea? I have no idea. Each adult will have their own story. The truth usually lies in the middle. He seems like an attention hog. He seems like it is his way or the highway. He seems a little too perfect the entire 20 minutes he is on. He seems too much a perfectionist. He seems to focus a lot on his physical image. It could be editing. It could be the time frame. It could be being in front of so many people that we don’t see the real him. My impression could be wrong. It is still my impression. I doubt either parent is evil. Each may have their reasons. Around 12 a child in North America starts to dictate the primary custody arrangement. There is clearly a much younger child. If no connection to North America I would think once again its winner take all in custody when will Korea adapt. But he at least should know better. In Korea once divorced the couple are strangers. Parental rights of the noncustodial parent something recent and not quite practiced yet there. So many want to be in the kids life but are prevented. They are also recent laws giving step parents authority to speak with the school. While the noncustodial bio parent still can’t. It’s so odd there. Divorce means you most likely will not see both parents until an adult. Or that other side of extended relatives that does not win you. Sometimes it’s a secret when a child is younger, the other parent abroad or far away in Korea for work always working.

  848.  @jeeeywu4585  something is wrong with you. Go look up child custody in South Korea and be sure to fill in a few years ago once this family split. You will be surprised. Look up divorce. You will be surprised. To make it easier for you type in Jo Hoon Hee. She married a costar in 2017. Baby on the way. By 2020 it was reported they divorced and she got custody. You will see this for many celebrity divorces. Almost always under the name of custodial parent it will that person got custody. This particular actress mentioned on a reality show or interview that she lets the ex husband see their daughter. The reason it made such publicity is cause it’s not common for a custodial parent to let the noncustodial parent have access. If you do a simple google search “Korean divorce child custody” you will see joint custody is very unusual. If the couple is really at odds ‘over parenting styles’ or will become geographically separate they are more likely to only give one parent custody. If a parent remarries and has children the original child is likely to be sent to a relative or the other parents or even put in orphanage. Until recently and even almost always a child is placed on the father’s family registry. It’s very patriarchal. The registry has historically been important factor for jobs and such. So having a step sibling on the registry a problem with some companies. Divorce is a problem with some companies. Recent laws try to make family not so important. Why do you care so much how I think of this family? We are all free to think as we like. You certainly do judge mom, not present.

  849. You are all missing the point and drive of first responders, police and firefighters and EMT’s. They will run into a building on fire to save a bedridden hospice patient. They may have to fire their weapon to stop a perpetrator but a second later they will attempt to stop the bleeding and start chest compressions on the person until EMT’s get there and take over.   883.  @smilyyyflower175  I think I first noticed the trend watching soulmate 2006 and Flower Boys Next Door 2013 and a mess of family dramas in between I was convinced. They finally confess love and then he is off to Spain and he is off to Japan. Actually he was supposed to go somewhere else. She was going to study abroad in Japan and it so happened he happened to be in Japan. It’s really no wonder the birth rate is so low there. The follow scenes are not their living together, marrying or having a kid. It’s work. She finally left the house, got the chance to study abroad with all that free time in her hands.
