  1. The show is meant to model current ways of thinking. They seem keen on fixing the drinking culture. And the drive to stop people from smoking. The news are full of stores and concerns about day care workers hitting children and and curbing cihld abue. Also teachers are not legally allowed to hit students for many years now. It's disappointing since the laws and views inside Korea are changing on this the hosts did not spend more time on the subject of discipline.

  2. I think the grandfather in the last concern does meet the characteristics of an alcoholic. I think he smokes and drinks knowing it's bad for his health. I think he wants to die of something before developing Alzheimer's. I understand the daughter in law. She already lost a father. Her concern for her FIL and husband is sincere. I am glad in the US the tables have turned on smokers. I wish adults were as careful about not smoking around kids and not smoking in the homes of non smokers or in front of people eating when I was young and I hope Korea adapts better smoking ettiquette. It was not a fun experience from childhood to be around all that. It literally stinks. It stays on the clothes and drapes and in the hair of those in the same room. Nasty.
