Having watched several historical dramas I don't know why anyone would want to be royalty in Joseon? It seems every reign is like that of what any potential marriage partner or Henry viii went through. From a modern perspective it looks goofy how little control the actual leader had. It seems his brother went mad because his mother was dethroned and executed later all from the actions of court ministers and fellow members of the royal family. the ministers haven't learned from the past. It just seems like a lot of people punished for no reason. Who is left to support the reign? And one family member does something wrong and generations are punished. Very North Korea. Would like to see the entire episode on YouTube in case I miss the live broadcast.
