I think he is right to be considerate of others. He doesn’t have to stop to be more considerate of the family? I don’t think he should have to go camping. There are other things to do as a family. I don’t think he is a monster cause he didn’t like it and went home. It’s not like he made the rest of them come home. If the boys take the drum from dad that might be a bonding experience for them? The night blindness is a concern. I thought perhaps he was color blind with the questions about clothes. Who cares if he wears all white? Why not just have pants that match every shirt he owns so it will be fine whatever combination he comes up with. I think she did that to herself by having an opinion and asking him to change what he had on when he asked her opinion.
