  1. Every family has this discussion. It’s not just unique to Korea. Thanksgiving. Why must there be 12 different dishes for 10 people plus 4 desserts, veg tray, olive pickle tray and several beverage choices? And too much is made. Just a meat, rolls, starchy light veg, veg and a pie and call it a day. Could she and her husband have just made two fancy dishes, the soup and rice, another bring the fruits and rice cakes and alcohol and veg?
