  1. It's a bigger drain on society for couples to have no children or only one. Instead of needing benefits like schooling and free lunches and perhaps heat and fees for school you will need the government to support seniors in their older ages. Look at grandma living with them. If she had no children or grandkids she would be living with assistance. That assistance is far more than one can save for and its essential that the working population is far greater than the senior population. At least children will become workers and pay into the system.
