  1. She can have the dog and bird if she likes but pets cost money. Her generation relied on the gov for housing. I really don’t understand I’m in the US. We should have plenty of natural gas in the US. My bill almost doubled. I didn’t double during the first year of COVID but now? Everything is up. Not having heat on will make mold abundant there. She is trading one expense for another. Glad to see the wood burner in one of the rooms. I hope she is able to go to library or some public free space for a time to get a proper warm. Church? I also hope she can get a package from the food bank. I think it’s more frightening for her to not be able to understand what sort of world today is like.
