@bevcrusher4177 they never studied paternal neglect? Honestly. Someone just could not find the answer so blamed mom. Then shots. There are lots of issues where the child is developing typically and then that stops or declines. Tay Sacs for instance. With autism there is no recovery. With parent neglect there is improvement.

@bevcrusher4177 yes now we know how to screen ahead of marriage for that. I’m saying the condition appears when at first the child develops on schedule and then regresses. That was the cause for suspecting the shots. The shots are not the reason for autism. In many countries kids were cared in nursery school when mom was off to work. It was the 60’s. This was not the US. It was a stupid idea to blame the mom in the first place. It was wrong.

They took babies not developing and decided maternal neglect. Cause certainly it wasn’t dad. This was the 60’s. They decided refrigerator mom. Certainly they didn’t intentionally deprive some baby of care for this study. They thought they found a baby deprived. Then they stuck the child in an institution. Worse for them. And the parents. We would be so much farther ahead if we hadn’t wasted time on refrigerator moms and shots. It’s genetic. The end.

@bevcrusher4177 in 1969 the man who brought forth the idea it was maternal neglect took it back publicly. Let it go. They took a 2 year old and stuck him in an institution and gave mom talk therapy for years with even less care for the 2 year old during that time. The man studied 11 white children of well educated parents. He thought that is the only demographic it could appear in.11 kids is not science. He caused irreparable harm to both patients and family’s long after 1969. Everything was based on him.

@bevcrusher4177 that one individual is who the entire notion of refrigerator mom was based. All work after it was to cheerlead for his idea. Orphanage behaviors go away. Autism does not. The only reason they blamed mom was some guy who looked at 11 white upper class kids decided since he could not find anything physical in that decade wrong with them that it must be mom. He should have said I don’t know. Then focused on how to manage the child’s symptoms.
