So there was nothing in 1953 there was nothing. Yet in 1960 6 kids was the fertility rate. When there was no infrastructure. Nothing. But now there is not enough money? Baloney. In the 60’s and 70’s the government gave real incentive to make parents have only 1-2 kids. And they kept at it. It was propaganda in every sector of society. It was inside every program on tv. The reason it didn’t implode in the 80’s was suddenly elders living longer than 60. What makes it worse is the delay from the 20’s to the 30’s to have babies. Less grandparents will be alive so Korea will no longer be a 4 generation country. What makes it worse is so many students leaving and staying abroad for work. But once those in their 50’s are dying leaving the large apartment to their kids or perhaps grandkids a huge supply will be available and instead of one room apartments people can couple and have a child or two again.
