I became an adoptive mom almost 20 years ago. We went into adoption with the idea that secrets bad and there is really no jealousy of birth parents from adoptive parents. Adoptees in adulthood have made known they don’t like how many of them care into care in the first place and how they balanced the feelings of each set of parents. Kids should not have to chose between parents. That is what we were taught in the learning process of the adoption process.
