Bus back to their country of origin?
16
Why can the city crackdown on a bus coming from Texas the federal government can’t crack down on foreign nationals arriving at the nations border?
7
They don’t have educational debt. They only have to pay a percent of the debt once they reach a certain income each month. And it s a percent off the income. It’s an occupational hazard.

Foreign Nationals.

@genespell4340 we are talking about that particular generation actually.

Plane tickets home. Or perhaps set up the tent city Northwestern or University of Chicago or Loyola or Hyde Park.

Is it a contest? There are generations thankful to each of them. Gosh.

@Briselance he was it was at the end of the video, just before he died.

@joeyp1927 Japan was on the other side for the war. Japan is homogenous and very few Jews would have stayed there, not to mention the war finally ended up on Japan’s shores for a change. The director and writer Jews themselves and perhaps that is why Oskar got the movie and not this guy. Perhaps more known to them from the Schindler Jews. The men were both honored for their work to save lives. Every life is a universe. Oskar was pretending to be one with the party and going from selfish man to selfless man. At least for about 6 years. The other guy was a diplomat abroad and ushered back home. This guy may get a movie yet. The actions of the Japanese shameful but for this guy in that time period.
1
@joeyp1927 you know Japan can also do a movie. They have the technology there. I don’t know why you need USA to do one? Or three. Maybe they did one already? Maybe one was done in Israel? Both men have their names on the wall. I am not sure why you want to be mad. The only reason you know of him is cause of honor in the U.S. about him. As seen above.
1
@joeyp1927 he isn’t Asian American. Neither did a great service to America. Just respected by Americans. Perhaps many in Japan know who he is? Why does Americans not knowing about him mean no one knows about him? I wonder how many in Japan know who Oskar is? Jews are a minority in every country but Israel. Why would the average Japanese know about a period in history where almost every Jew was killed or fled Europe in the 30’s and 40’s? About half the population of Jews were in Europe before it all began. Japan was inflicting their own genocide on their neighbors. If not for Pearl Harbor we would not have gotten involved in any of it. There are many more names in the Garden.
1
@joeyp1927 1905 lots of boycotting Japan since they started annexing their neighbors against their will. They did that from time to time throughout history. I would love to see the movie about this guy and what happened to the generations that were saved. I don’t think they can only make a movie about a handful of months. Schindler’s list was about the people, not so much him.
1
@joeyp1927 how many foreign born in Japan or China live there? How many white, black, Hispanic or Jew? They have strong economies and large populations and no where near the percentages that the English speaking western countries have. So who is inclusive and who isn’t? Who is actually hating? Asia is 60% of the population. I’m sure the India, Chinese, Japanese theaters are doing just fine. How many of those countries make movies about North America, Europe and Africa? And in what way are they portrayed?
1
Have you seen Descendants of the Sun. It’s a South Korean series. Guess who the villain is, a white guy. Big surprise.
1
@joeyp1927 I’m saying all countries do it. Mostly there are only South Koreans in South Korean productions. Same with the others. You really can’t look at Chinese and Japanese and South Korean, etc… tv shows and movies and not notice how homogenous they are, just like their populations. White people don’t exist. Black people don’t exist. Hispanic people don’t exist. And when they do they are the colonizer. But mostly ignored. Usually when Chinese movies have Japanese, South Korean movies have Japanese they are not in a good light. Can’t blame given 1905 until 1945.
1
@joeyp1927 foreign born in Japan in 2.6%. U.S. is 13% but more my point is how many non ethnic Japanese actually become Japanese. You have a snowballs chance in hell to become a Japanese citizen white or black. If you live in US you could not be foreign born and become a citizen quite easily or could be Asian American by birth.
1
@joeyp1927 you are saying America is racist cause northeast Asians not included, accepted, equal time, proportionate time, whatever. I am not just comparing to a random time or a random spot on planet earth. I am comparing to northeast Asia. The U.S. does not have a problem because it is homogenous. The countries of North East Asia have a problem, it is homogenous. Japan makes movies with Japanese people and hardly anyone else. China makes movies about Chinese people and hardly anyone else. South Korea makes movies about Korean people and hardly anyone else. In these countries a teeny percent are foreign even living there and almost no one becomes naturalized as a citizen. As the Korean how they are treated in Japan or China? Singapore really isn’t an example it’s a newly formed independent country with recent occupation or control back and forth between Britain and Japan. It only has 3 million citizens and a sizable expat population.
1
@joeyp1927 then Japan and Korea and China have a long way to go as they are centuries behind the west.
1
@joeyp1927 100 years ago there were too Asians in America. Longer. They were in Hawaii and on the west coast building the railroad. You just want to be mad. You are upset at how a Japanese not Japanese American didn’t get featured in a movie made in the US that happened in Latvia 1940. You have not told me why this is America’s job to tell this tale and the not having told it yet proves it is a horrible place..
1
@joeyp1927 I’m am absolutely terrified what they are teaching students at university today after this exchange of comments.
1
@joeyp1927 what can’t I do in the U.S. as a woman? I was born in 72. There is no more logic taught. No is taught the think, just regurgitate.
1
@joeyp1927 Schindler is a Catholic German guy. And since he spent his fortune bribing people to spare them they and their kids they would later have, Thank God, in return supported him for the rest of his life. That is why he is known. The other guy involved for weeks and was not in touch with any of them for decades, did he survive?Did they make it out? You still have not told me why the U.S. is responsible for making a film praising a Japanese man for something he did in Eastern Europe in 1940.

Could there be map somewhere of the current plan?
1
@Dshivs no they will make themselves known throughout the city. Especially no where near the convention center. The airport, some expressways and caravan all the way home. The blocked on Xmas. Just don’t know how the city can manage the DNC to exist with protests but not Trump speaking at a UIC building downtown before he ever held office. I was not alive but the 68 convention is always where my mind goes. It was talked of for decades. I did find a proposed route and it was no where near anything. I do not think they will remain there.

After more foreign nationals without visas arrive unexpectedly at the southern border. Build the wall and deport people and out where the money is coming from funding the caravans to the border in the first place.
1
Special needs.
1
Notice would be a visa in hand before leaving country of origin instead of entering as a foreign national without prior permission. Build the wall. Increase the visas. Deport people. OMG. When will the media stop covering and say who is funding these caravans to the border in the first place. Nothing except the occasional mention of Cuba causing anything that would warrant a portion of the population to flee needing refugee status. Is there a country we should be bombing their leadership is oppressing parts of their population?

This is for 3 rental properties and over a few years. Still more than it should but that is how it got to this point. I had a suddenly high bill but in the suburbs once. More than double. That bill they offered a payment plan since it was uncharacteristic of our use. It was actually correct, just a dry season we were watering outside all the time. They suspected a water leak in a toilet. It’s not uncommon to have a plumbing issue that eats up water use. 11K over a few years on 3 properties is quite shocking. I’m assuming they are chicago teacher/Chicago bus driver. City workers get shamed for unpaid water bills having any connection to their name. Job on the line situation. Water in Northern Il can be 1200 a year times 3 properties times 2 years or so. Why wasn’t the water turned off when they stopped paying a few years ago? Cause they were rented out? The penalties on unpaid bills can add up extreme. It’s only the 65K that is questioned. Did they just stop paying during COVID?
1
I’m in the Chicago area and my property taxes are 9K a year. My house is in the 300K range. I’m quite worried cause it hit 9K in the 200K range. If not for the property taxes if my house were in a red state I would be paying 5K or less for a 300K house, my house would be worth 500K. @moreanita8

Clearly South Korea failed the history lesson or you were raised elsewhere. Gosh. Korea was a annexed sovereign nation and the Japanese had genocide on their minds. But that goodness she was a maid and not a comfort woman.
