South Korea put people higher in the housing lottery if they got fixed after one child. The reason everything costs so much there is they set the economy on the one child model. And the half of the country should live near Seoul and leave the rural area. It allowed prices to skyrocket in the city. When people could not afford shoes for their kids would each have one pair. Now they have no kids and use the spare room as a closet. They never let housing prices fall. And 40% increase in a short number of years is seen as success when a healthy pullback is better. Soon no one will need to buy an apartment. They will just inherit the grandparents place. The parents place will be worthless. No one to buy it.

Replacement is 2.1 or 2.4. World fertility is 2.4. For some to go childless others have to have more than 2.

Immigrants are always coming. Other countries educate and pay women more and some still work for foreign employer.

Women are fertile for 30 years. Having only 1.7 seems a bit ridiculous.

Sounds like people who think other people’s choices a judgement in their own. I’m sure it goes both ways. Who is funneling this idea? That is a mischief maker with a purpose.

Won’t the Arabs and non Jews become the largest demographic? If everyone gets along perfectly that would be fine.

If it’s okay for a man to make a living and the woman raise the kids during a workplace break why isn’t it okay for a woman to make a living and the man spend time learning? The ultra orthodox think the reason the country isn’t bombed from outsiders and they have not been forced to flee it is adherence to the Torah and Torah study is adherence to the Torah. That said I would not want the taking care of the kids and the financial responsibility all on me. How many jobs in Mo idin need high school or college? Can’t the man just spend 10 hours on Talmud study and work another 40? Shouldn’t the sons learn at home with their father’s together?
