  1. The population of the county is 23,000. Korea wants everyone to live in or near Seoul. They will not abide housing correction prices. It’s mad. It’s like encouraging everyone to live in Manhattan and wondering why few people have 1 or 2 kids. People in Seoul don’t downsize like in other parts of the world. You have youth in studios and 60 year olds in 4 bed apartments. Korea requires men to serve a few years. Then college. Then the notion of a fully paid for home or hundreds of thousands for a jeonse loan you get back at the end of a two year contract. People always moving cause they are doing these short term contracts and not buying until 40 or so. You can’t just get married in your 30’s and expect to have 1 or 2 kids. This generation could study so no one every home between work and hagwon. No one knows what family is, how to have one? Why to have one? They don’t tolerate raising children with never married couples also allowed to marry later and have kids with second spouses. They have 300K abortions annually. If people didn’t abort due to society telling them to there would be no problem. Korea wanted to enrich everyone by limiting births to 1 kid. They did this for 30 years. They wanted this.
