Comments by "ThaFuzzwood" (@ThaFuzzwood) on "Why don't perpetual motion machines ever work? - Netta Schramm" video.
No, because those require a constant investment of energy.

Not sure Dr. Strange approves.

Energy cannot be created nor destroyed. Gravity is a potential force. Next.
1
@diceandcards8272 Yes you can but you cannot reuse it without inputting the energy you took in the first place.
1
@diceandcards8272 Soooo if you need to pump in energy, it is not in perpetual motion and is analogous to a simple battery.
1
@diceandcards8272 Why?
1
@diceandcards8272 Sure, because that magical space station would just appear out of nowhere, and the energy stored in there similarly comes from nowhere... NO, that energy needs to be generated first and from whatever source it is generated, it is better to use it directly as that will be far less wasteful!
1
@diceandcards8272 Efficient how? You have yet to back up any of your claims with hard data.
1
Ok bro
1
No they don't.
1
@deathincarnatesplace Ehh, yes it is. If you do not replenish energy you drain, whatever system you explain here very poorly will stop.
1
@deathincarnatesplace It doesn't as UI in does not match UI out.
1
Not perpetually.
1
@josephwodarczyk977 And the slinky will eventually lose enough momentum due to internal friction.
1
No, it is fiction.
1
Because people think clown battery cars are perpetual motion machines?
1
There is no 0 gravity in space
1
You understand the perfectly :)
1
Weeelllll, all machines are able to convert its energy to heat with 100% efficiency.
1
Not perpetual motion.
1
Yes
1
Yeah, now try this after you stayed away from the trippy mushrooms for a month.
1
Stop throwing in money. Your wife will stop talking one way or another.
1
Not perpetual.
1
What stops the water flowing out of the hole at the bottom of the tube without impeding the movement of the ball?
1
I am failing to see the motion there.
1
Photons are massless, soundwaves are not perpetual.
1
The earth is in fact slowing down.
1
Because physics has very powerful attorneys.
1
For what purpose?
1
Not perpetual.
1
That is not how science works.
1
Cute, spoken like a real tinfoilhatter
1
Friction, resistance, other heatlosses, magnets decay. NEXT.
