  2.  @DwaynePipes  That will be an electrical fault if it did, Diesel oil will not combust on its own. Having been a mechanic in my early career, I can tell you that ICE don't catch fire on their own. For petrol, they require a spark and a leak in the same vicinity and diesel is very hard to catch even with a lighted match. However, EVs can spontaneously combust for many reasons.

  3.  @DwaynePipes  Yes, electrical fault. That doesn't negate the propensity of L-ion batteries to spontaneouly combust. As I said the fuel with not combust on it s own.

  5.  @DwaynePipes  "ICE cars can and they have caught fire sitting in a garage for example" ?? They do not catch fire on their own. They require an ignition source, EVs are the ignotion source. So what caused the ICE to catch in the first place? An electrical fault, but even that won't always ignite the fuel especially if it's diesel and ICE fires can be put out relaqtively easily. EVs can't be. If you are talking about new Range rovers - electrical faults.

  6.  @wonderwalls3565  BS. So in my 20 years as a diesel mechanic I don't know what I am talking about eh? Considering there are billions of ICE vehicles and a few hundred thousand EVS!! EVs can't be put out at all. Get real. And as I said they may catch due to electrical faults and if you think petrol and diesel spontaneously combust then I am wasting my time with you.

  8.  @DwaynePipes  Let's put it this way, hardly any compared to ICE vehicles. So smaller number it makes no difference either way. My knowledge on vehicles compared to esimated numbers is chalk and cheese.

  9.  @DwaynePipes  That is really of no importance. Most Tesla were bought by lease firms and other companies using government backed incentives and are now regretting it and selling them off. The rest were bought by people who know nothing about the agenda. They can't give them away now!
