  2. I did have my suspicions due to the fact that it all suddenly went away when police stopped the car. Police can arrest if they reasonable suspicion of a crime, and quite often it makes the investigation easier to deal with especially if conditions are attached, as the suspect would have to answer to bail at a given date and not just be allowed to do what he likes.
