  1. The problem is when it goes for an MOT and fails because of a small bit of rust near a chssis juction or suspension, They will show that on the failure certificate and if it gets repaired it will never get an MOT again. One way is to get a garage to do a non documented pretest, have it repaired and then have it tested later at another garage. But that's wishing that they didn't miss anything!

  7.  @kieranb7047  I really hope you're right. I suppose we shoul'd make sure our chosen station is not full of job's worths. Never heard of a right to repair legislation, but nothing our wonderful government can't put right. My earlier question was what will governments do about any historic repairs?
