Black African tribes started the slave trade. They were then bought by Arabs. None were captured they were bought. Not forgetting white people taken from the South West of England by Barbary Pirates. The first black slave trader and owner was actually a black man.

@celtspeaksgoth7251 That's right. It's just that the English tend to be blamed when it was us who actually stopped it, but yes Ireland was targeted too. Mind you, I am no fan of the British government these days.
