Increasing a woman’s intake of folic acid can help prevent these serious and debilitating conditions.' So mass medicating the populous rather than advising pregnant 'men' and women to take the stuff themselves - I have to be medicated as well? I suppose it's 'safe and effective' too??

@GreenMachine-u3n Look at the Es in food products. They won't write clealy what they actually are so they use these terms. Good flour needs nothing added to it. 'So called 'natural' isn't always natural as we think it is. Regulations can be circumvented and they often are. Mass medication is nothing new and they do not care about your health.
