Well that didn't help the environment did it? The c02 emissions (bs) from the fire would have made any 'perceived' saving pointless. And they still haven't realised that water won't extinguish those Lithium fires. And imagine having a fire which shorts out and locks all the doors!!

@djtaylorutube Obviously diesel is explosive in the right environment, otherwise it couldn't be used in internal combustion engines. Diesel requires atomisation, that why diesel engines have injectors which do just that under pressure. Diesel burns but will not explode like petroleum or gas. Diesel fires are the result of other fires. A spark will not set them off so diesel requires a separate combustion source like electrical faults. So EVs are always equipt with manual over rides? Not what I have found searching the internet.
