  1. I am with Octopus too but I have never had any requests or emails from them like that. Even if it became law I wouldn't have one but if I really had no choice I would for a Faraday cage around it. That said Smart meters can catch fire and also they emit harmful radiation. Just put a smog meter near one and see, especially if your have (unbeknown to you) is a Collector Meter too.
