  1. We visited a decent sized town in Devon quite a few years ago only to find that the last bank had closed. On enquiring I was told that the small shop come Post Office would give me cash. The owner was letting people have cash but was furious that there were no banks left and that he was basically having to try to support all the local businesses on his own. When I moved 3 years ago from Dorset my market town lost its last bank about 5 years ago. It used to have four.

  3.  @B.a.S.t.A.r.D.  Shop lifting is getting out of hand because police don't deal with it anymore. And of course we have so much wonderful diversity from places where thieving is commonplace and a normal way of life.
