Smart means total control over usage and they can do whatever they like. I will fit a Faraday cage and lead shielding on my cupboard and there is no law against what I can do with my cupboard.

@stoney202 Don't be silly. Companies are sending envoys to 3rd world countries and bringing them in legally, but they then leave and go underground avoiding the condition of entry.

@BrownDaddy007 LOL. Is that what you think? Really? They have other resesons and it isn't economic. The so called loans are not loans. Any money we have is created by debt and they increase the debt to keep the population poor and themselves rich.

I will NEVER have one in my home. They are very dangerous and can cause fires and health issues. My meter is fine. From what I understand is you can have your own meter fitted anyway. If they think they'll fit one then I will cover it with a Faraday cage and lead shielding. There is no end of life date on my meter except for a bar code.

@paulstimpson830 There are always 'benefits' but then they are either taken away or they are found not to be benefits at all. Same as Smart phones, great but they track you and they have been created to dumb people down with great effect.
