@davidbarlow350 You would say? It does take hours actually. Measurements of vehicles and debris, bodies removed from vehicles can hours on its own, forensics on the vehicles before they are moved, witness statements at the scene are especially necesary as soon as possible after the incident. So much more that I can't write here. I know because I was a police officer btw.

@Phookinell 'Pin the blame' ? You will need evidence to prosecute but in MOST cases there will always be a guilty party in an RTA.

@Phookinell That's true, they are called collisions. But blame is not necessarily true in all cases. Sudden illness of a driver, unforseen gust etc. That is not the atitude of the police.

@Phookinell Yes. I retired in 2009 and things have changed dramatically since then and yes they did change the title as you say. That said, I haven't heard that particular statement but nevertheless it is a rather stpd one to make.
