  1. Removing public dislikes will only direct negativity to the comments section, as less people will be inclined to dislike and will spam hate comments instead. Hiding the dislike count quite literally doesn't make sense. If the entire point was to protect the sensitive snowflakes that run small/medium sized channels, it doesn't solve anything and only makes the problem worse. If the entire point was because they want to silence people's opinions so they don't cry like a baby after being mass disliked again, it makes sense for a corporation of this size that is run by people with either narcissistic personality disorder or no fucking idea how to run a company to prioritise their own opinions over the collective thoughts of the entire fucking platform that they operate. YouTube thinks that hiding dislikes from the public will cause the second coming of Christ, not knowing that Jesus probably is also against the idea. TL;DR: YouTube is run by narcissistic snowflakes who throw childish tantrums when they don't get exactly what they want
