@Edmitsu I see. Im not american. In here it depends because we have many religious and cultural groups which affects the judgements but i'd say the father here has a little more favourable bias.

@Edmitsu don't worry. Every country is horrible if you know where to look. Lets not talk about their strick culture, death-inducing work culture and other things. Its terrible to have kids in japan as foreigner too. If the mother took the kid, not even the police would let you see them and the law would never stand with you. I recall that guy that peotested for weeks and nearly died just to see his daughter
