I wish I was born earlier. All this complexities in development is killing my passion. While all I wanted when I started was to write code.

Bro 0:12!!!

I'm no expert in this field, but maybe they view it as "pay 500m and solve the problem 100%" (their non technical view on the problem) instead of "pay less than 500m and solve the problem? But what if these guys don't solve it? Or run into other problems and need more time and money? Meh, lets just throw our money to big corporate brother rather than little civilian cousin. Big corporate brother is of the same kin as us after all" Alright I got carried there... xd

I feel the pursuit of money and to keep with the trends is blinding those who call the shots on A.I. stuff from just taking a moment to sit down and think of the consequences or how to prevent any.

Leave it to Fireship. In one video he makes me feel as if it's the end of the world (as a programmer) and in the next it's back to all flowers. Love your content man,

And it's called OPEN. Like c'mon now. It's as open as a guy's butt when he gets swarmed by gay zombies in the apocalypse. Aka closed.

"Sorry, your twin has copyright claim on your genetic appearance (1second ago). You have to pay them processing power royalty or try again."

As one of the 12 REAL humans who subbed to FIRESHIP, I am happy to be under Jeff the 90's tin can robot.

Rick and Morty, processing unit dimension?

As a fake viewer, operating in the Green Marsians server plants I also approve of this, fellow human-made bot

@paultapping9510 ikr? I think yhe companies couldn't market it well because of the long title

@MohamedAhmed-le8mv last year in my university. Took 8 maths courses, 2 physics, 2 general information on programming. Then took 14 courses on many computer science fields. Now im taking 8 courses on many other fields, either new or part 2s. And I still have 7 courses after this semester's finals before I graduate Its giving me a perspective on everything so I can choose better but its all theoretical mostly and just... killed my passion you know?

Same, my friend also chose to believe that Santa is not real, despite all the evidence. Varying among red underwear stuck near chimney when his dad is out, to white milk on the floor next to the table his mom like to use most and even to the reindeers moans that he hear at nights sometimes.

I'm getting an error with the useAuthState(auth) saying type is not assignable

So I took the certificate you gave us to one of the companies for my interview... They did not make me an employee. Though for some reason, the boss came down, made me sign some papers and now I'm a major shareholder and part of the company's bureau, but they said I can just never come to meetings and get paid for life. They also thanked me so much because the company's stock value rose by 27.3% (as of that moment) because of I let them post the certificate on the company's public twitter account. Thank you Fireship.

Internet Archive must hold on!

Ahhh... programming, the never ending search for the perfect spaghetti dish!

HTMX, looks great for the first 100 seconds and become a spaghetti mess after.

@captain_clark868 i'm not 100 percent sure but I think it was written by Mr. "Early Dystopia Warning Signal" whose commonly known as Mr. Earl in the industry. He's the one behind the "Earl Sign" law

JavaScript is basically a chaos god at this point (wh40k)

I'm still a CS undergrad, just finished my first project on web dev after binging a lot of your videos since the doctor speaks so slowlllyyyy, and I can tell how simply insanely convenient this is. I remember when I tried coding first, it was C# and Visual Studio. It was extremely hard and tedious, then they released Vs Code and It was so easy.

Well, ladies and gentlemen... Fuck.

The problem with free alternatives is that some of the paid tools are forced in the workplaced because everyone else uses them.

I'm saying it, the world will change and countries will be obselete. Corporations will become the under-the-daylight rulers by having value boundaries denoting how much of humanity's total valuables, physical or otherwise, they own. Then we get corpo wars, Then aliens invade us... no... I'm not reading a novel... >.> Anyways, I'm still feeling somewhat fearful or just conservative about using AI assistants provided by microsoft or amazon. I mean, what's the real impactful consequences they face if they do something fishy here or there without anyone noticing. or without much buzz about it going around, eh?

Features request: add option to pick respawn server for premium members

Always been messed up because you do not have a solid way, foul-proof, to give total control of an intellectual creation over to its creator.

This felt like some mmorpg code...

@5h4ndt oh I know, i didnt find it very food though since vs code was made gui first. I just have nvim on my old laptop now and configure it when I have free time just for fun. Slowly but surely

I see the stocks of that Metal Geat clip rising. Especially with how easy it is now to put whatever you want to say with the same voices in the original
2
If it's too simple to produce then I half believe it is true and half believe it is bs. Give it to Gordon and let him cook it.
2
i dont think its the future because it cant make all forms of capitalism, hoarding and corporations cease to exist while replacing them 100%
2
What should I do as a cs student? Im in my 2nd year and this made me have so much anxiety. Will i become jobless befote i even graduate? Or should I start adapting the mentality of problem solving and that I am the copilot now, giving directions to the pilot?
2
@DemPilafian also known as DWP or Different Work Paradigm
2
Some dumb person: Copilot! build me the app. Copilot: which app? The same person: The one I'm currently thinking of, duuh! ... plot twist: brain chips become a reality. AI serve ads directly to your brain.
2
Thats always been the case tho. Ever heard of protection fees for example?

Programmers are always refining themselves out of the equation. Curses

I learned that animals have a URL. I guess it's used to allow their local dna database to communicate with nature's root database.

As an end user I will drop the cr*p and say I do not give a single bit where my content comes from or how it was made. Ai or not. To me, an end user, an image is an image. That's how everything operates. End users do not care whether a game took 1 talented artist to make or 1 monkey clicking on generate image. Whether a game took 100 devs or 200 devs. Whether fireship is real or not. Fireship is in my heart. Proof: Do you see most people caring where the cobalt in their batteries comes from? Do you see people care why their governments are messing up other weaker countries?.no you dont. Because the end user is full hypocritical self serving bullsh1t. And that is Fine.

Too good to be true. I smell something fishy just because, based on history, I no longer trust western corporations to be doing good for the sake of it. Anyways, im pretty sure governments would take it down if it ever reaches a point where its value becomes higher than the country's respective currenct

@tulkasastaldo4114 i wanted to tell you to relax and chill. But that last "shadow local optima" sealed the deal

Used stackoverflow myself a few times before entering university as a hobbyist coder. Horrible experience. I never use it now, aside from viewing old results from google

Bun. What a great pun.

How can it possibly be val and not var. My tongue twisting awkwardly every time Im reading val but end up with var then correct back to val

Infinite feedback loop sounds just like a recipe to oblivion

The dystopian era begins when the average man no longer understands the workings of mega corporations, their technology akin to magic accessible only to the most elite they select. At least that's what id like to say i believe bevause it sounds poetic and cool. Hopefully all these novels of the past dont come true. (Flag detected)
