  2. What always intrigues me is will the universe end at some point? If black holes are taking all this mass and munching it into a singularity, then won't the universe, at some point, be devoured by ever-so growing black holes? what would happen then? My fantasy theory, an idea for a good story, is that when a black hole devours enough mass and compress it into a singularity, after some threshold, that singularity would explode into a new big bang. creating another dimension with another universe inside of it. Releasing all that mass back out while the universe that would continue to expand infinitely would be supplied by mass from the 'outside' by the original black hole and the loop repeats.
