Israel gave China classified US F-16 technology and helped China design the J-10 fighter. Israel also gave China advanced US classified radar technology. Israel has consistently backed China and gotten severe US sanctions as a result. Israel has also consistently backed Russia, often angering the USA in the process. In BRICS only South Africa and Iran have bad relations with Israel. How are Ethiopian Israeli relations?

  11. What Naledi Pandor 11:40 is abominable. Ghana was in a financial crisis. No one in the world was willing to lend Ghana money except as very high interest rates. Without IMF loans, Ghana would have been forces to slash public services vastly more than they ultimately did. Naledi Pandor is cognitively challenged, borderline illiterate, or intentionally being deceptively duplicitous. If she wants Ghanaians to have higher socio-economic outcomes, then promote free market pro business policies that surge Ghana's tax revenues, donations to charity and credit worthiness to be able to access capital at low risk adjusted interest rates (and discount rates.)

  13.  @reginalddavies3082  It is very sad and tragic that violent crime victimization is worse for "black" South Africans now than during apartheid and the Mandela years. And that socio-economic outcomes are worse for racialized "black" South Africans now than during apartheid and the Mandela years. Five African cities have far more violence per capita than any other city in Africa. These five (Pretoria, Durban, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town) also happen to be 5 of the 6 most populous cities in South Africa. The reason for this is not unemployment, low real wages, low per capita income or poverty. Since every other African city has vastly less per capita violent crime. And many African cities are orders of magnitude poorer than Pretoria, Durban, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town South Africa. The rapid socio-economic collapse of South Africa since 2008 (some would say before that) is partly the fault of Naledi Pandor's intellectual school. Its also terribly tragic that Naledi Pandor and her President Ramaphosa are accusing Israel of trying to orchestrate regime change in South Africa. Israel is a tiny country that is very busy. Has many other far higher priorities around the world (China, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Europe, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Nigeria) than South Africa. It sounds absurd that tiny Israel could pull this off. And if Israel could pull this off, this is even more frightening and terrifying. This would imply that Naledi Pandor and Ramaphosa have weakened South Africa so much that a light breeze can blow her over. Given the urgency and scale of South Africa's gradual implosion, why focus on ancient forever wars that are not even in Africa?

  14.  @mkodyglobalsouthsoldier  The only African countries capable of independent large scale military operations without a large number of international security contractors and foreign advisors is Egypt. The Nigerian Air Force in particular has for since independence heavily employed foreign advisors and military contractors. However, in Nigeria, most of these foreign troops are operating with diplomatic passport.

  15.  @sundayejeh7050  This is foolish. Why not take advantage of foreign powers and extract as much as possible from them. Currently only Egypt can probably conduct large scale military operations without foreign advisors and international military contractors. South Africa use to be able to do this but has lost the ability in my view. Africa would collapse without foreign FID and military contractors. There are 20 major wars in Africa and there is nothing wrong with using foreign FID and security contractors. The USA uses a lot of security contractors too.

  30. Congo is vastly poorer and worse governed than almost every other country in Africa. Other countries in Africa are objectively far better governed and more affluent. Congo does not have a lot of natural resources per capita on an NPV basis. Congo's main wealth is brains. Congo needs to surge the Congolese Army and Congolese Air Force; establish law and order. Strengthen courts and police and introduce British common law. Massively improve K-12 education. Invest in electricity, water, sewege, NG pipelines, broadband and become a BPO global powerhouse. And then invest the tax revenues and credit worthiness this generates into massive investment in higher education and infrastructure. Congo needs a large educated work force to extract national resources from deep under the ground.

And adjusted for inflation the drop was catastrophic over those 10 years. South Africa now has the 2nd highest per capita homicide rate in the world. 3rd highest per capita if Gaza is added to the list of countries. South Africa is also significantly harming other African countries. It is unclear to what degree South Africa is even an independent country anymore; or if South Africa is a proxy of Pres Xi.
