Mark Dolan's hubris is bizarre. The UK is not the USA. The UK use to have a similar per capita income as the USA. Next year the UK is likely to have 60% US per capita income, or a lower per capita income than South Korea, African Americans and the USA's poorest state, Mississippi. At her current trajectory the UK's per capita GDP in my view will fall to less than half US levels; and to a lower per capita income than Malaysia, Greece, Guyana, Panama, Bahamas, Portugal.
The UK suffers from massive brain drain as the graduates of the UK's Russell Group universities (24 elite UK universities) and millionaire class rapidly leave the UK. The UK is likely to have about 600 K emigrants leave the UK next year. Over the past decade the number of nominal US dollar millionaires declined by 8% as the number of nominal US dollar millionaires inside the USA increased by 63% over the past decade.
Structurally and organically this UK economic deterioration is worse than it appears from the outside. It is masked by talented migrants who are keeping the UK afloat. Currently, 67 out of the UK's 146 billionaires are migrants (immigrants.) Soon it is probable that the large majority of british billionaires, millionaires, elites and top academic performers will be migrants, children of migrants, grandchildren of migrants or ethnics. Anglo saxon ethnic english are in danger of becoming an indigent underclass in their own country subsidized by migrants and ethnics similar to how the Bumiputera are subsidized in Malaysia. Leading to growing blowback and resentment among some anglo saxon ethnic english who are increasingly opposing mass migration.

A question to Eni Eluko:
Are you worried about UK has the equivalent of an emerging Bumiputera (from Malaysia) challenge. An academically and socio-economically under-performing majority population (ethnic English versus ethnic Malays in the case of Malaysia) that is heavily subsidized and supported by higher performing immigrants and ethnics (including Ghanaians and Nigerians.)
How do you (Eni Eluko)--as part of the elite taking over the UK--think that BAME and immigrant Britons should try to empower socio-economically low performing ethnic English? Time is not on your side Eni Aluko. Unless you and other BAME and immigrants, save the UK soon; Britain could soon collapse:

The UK has one of the world's slower growing economies per capita; and the UK might soon have a lower per capita income than Malaysia if Labour wins the next UK election.
The UK's share of global income and wealth are collapsing rapidly; as the rest of the world rises rapidly. The UK's infrastructure is backwards compared to the brand spanking new infrastructure across Asia, many parts of Latin America and growing parts of Africa. The UK is economically falling behind.

The UK also has one of the highest brain drains and millionaires brain drains in the world.
In the year ending Dec 2024, the UK had:
--948,000 long term migrants
--517,000 long term emigrants
--431,000 net long-term migrants (difference between the above two numbers)
Of the 517,000 long term emigrants:
--non-EU+ nationals accounted for 43% of total emigration (222,000)
--EU+ nationals made up 42% (218,000)
--British nationals made up 15% (77,000)
My bet is that many of the 77,000 British national emigrants are themselves migrants or ethnics.
Ergo, probably more than half of people who come to the UK don't stay long term.
